Hello, Beautiful People!

Thanks so much for being here...  It really means a lot to me.

Kickstarter update!!!  In October of 2024, my beloved community helped me raise $30,000 to finance my next record, Lovesister.  With that budget, i was able to fund studio time, musicians, and producer for 12 tracks which are currently in the mixing phase.  More recently i had the pleasure of recording (self-funded) 4 more tracks with a trio to round out the project with tracks that are more pared down and acoustic.  it's a super special project that i'm really proud of and i cannot WAIT to share with you.

In my day-to-day life, i continue to spend much of my time writing, practicing, visualizing, performing, networking, co-writing, laughing, crying, doubting, questioning, being grateful for all that I have, loving, forgiving... rinse, repeat.

i've also been dreaming about something ...

Love&Co.

As i continue to cultivate relationships here in Nashville, finding my musical and spiritual soul mates, it becomes increasingly clear to me that when two or more artists are gathered in the name of love, changing the world through art becomes exponentially more possible.

So i've been manifesting a dream: a collaborative movement known as
Love&Co.

First, the why...

We are a people who are violently cleaved in half.  Each half is gripped by the fear that they, or the things they hold the most dear, will be destroyed by the other half.

In response to this
existential threat, we all use our basic instincts: fight (hate/conquer), flight (apathy/retreat),  freeze (disbelief), fawn (surrender).

i think it's fair to say they that if these
basic responses were going to work they would have by now, especially since we've been doing them for millennia. But instead we still find ourselves on one side or the other of the great divide.

But what if this great divide is actually the darkness before the dawn?  I believe it is, and I believe art will play a critical part in ushering in that dawn.

This is the vision...

Love&Co. is a movement that includes vocalists, instrumentalists, writers, actors, performance artists, dancers, poets, visual artists, choreographers, directors, producers, sound and lighting specialists, tour managers, marketing, distribution, and publicity specialists, road crew, health and wellness practitioners, doctors, lawyers, healers, seers, channelers, therapists... all of whom resonate with the following vision:

Love&Co. does not fight the dark, we bring light to to the dark.  (We recognize that resistance is necessary, and we honor and support those who peacefully resist and protest.)

Love&Co. is a living, breathing community that embraces the belief that *love over fear* is how we change the world. We envision and imagine the world we want to live in, and we work from that vision.

Love&Co. members make art together in various iterations and combinations, then we make the offering of that art to the world.

Love&Co. members know that whenever one vibrates in the energy of love (or God, Spirit, Universe, Infinite, Divine, Great Mystery, etc. - whichever concept fits for you), great change and transformation are inevitable.

Love&Co. members courageously do our own personal work (as we uncover our own challenges) toward loving and forgiving those we have been programmed to fear/hate.  Our healers and therapists hold the space for and help to guide that healing.

Love&Co. is for ALL people who want to grow in this way.  We send care and compassion to those who aren't yet ready to embrace this commitment to radical love.

Love&Co. members agree to challenge one another's fear-based thinking. We remind each other that our fear really believes it is protecting us and keeping us safe, but if we ask that fear to get behind us and not in front of us, we will see that we ARE safe.  We remind each other that we're trying something different this time. This time we're trying love.

Love&Co.
is called a movement because we are committed to moving into our next evolutionary chapter,  Love.

At this point my skeptical part is sitting on my shoulder saying, "OK, Meg.  What the fuck?  Why are you even attemping this? You're a grain of sand on a beach that stretches out to infinity.  Just stop this waste of time."

A younger, more vulnerable part of me who thrives on connection with others says, "People are going to think you're crazy, or they're going to get really mad at you and tney'll leave! PLEASE don't do this!!!"

My inner critic says, "Nobody's going to show up to be a part of THIS pie-in-the-sky bullshit.  Who the actual fuck are YOU?"

And i know these parts are scared and don't want me to get hurt.  So i validate that, then i ask them to take a good look at me; the essence of me; the center of me (which is the same for all of us). i am love.  i am light.  i am a child of the infinite.  I AM.  And because of that i am always safe, and fear isn't necessary.

And... doing this type of inner work is extremely hard to do alone.  That's why
Love&Co. is forming itself.  When two or more are gathered...

I need this community and support as much as anyone.  I have so many fear-based thoughts, like, "I can't love who I hate!" or "I can't  feel safe around those I fear!"  (Anyone else i.d. with this?)

Another thought I often have is, "I have every reason and every right to be filled with rage at what has been done."

And love responds by saying, "Yes, anger as a motivating force can be very productive, and fear in the face of actual threat to your life is necessary to keep you safe.  But if you're staying in that hate and anger without peaceful action, or if you're fearing something that isn't actually impacting your physical safety, i might lovingly ask, how has that worked out for us as a people?"

Let's try love.

Thank you for reading all of this, and for taking an interest in me as an artist.  It means the world to me.
As the finishing touches are being put on the new album, Lovesister, I am putting together the support team to help me get it out into the world, and I am booking shows to bring myself out into the world.
I am eternally grateful for the opportunity I've been given to have this one precious life.  Namaste.

See you soon, I hope.
